RULES
1 Any exhibitor called upon by the committee to do so, must produce evidence that the exhibits were grown by himself. The Committee reserve the right to visit the exhibitor's garden or allotment after an entry form has been received.
2 Exhibitors of produce not grown by themselves will have all exhibits in the show disqualified.
3 No exhibitor may have more than one exhibit in any one class.
4 The Committee reserves the right to award fewer than three prizes in any class should they deem this warranted by the small number or poor quality of the entries.
5 Entrance fees in Divisions A, B, C, D and E are 10 pence except for class 27, 15 pence and class 65, 50 pence. Entrance fees in Division F are 5 pence. Late entries are 20 pence per class.
6 Entries for local classes confined to the parishes of Diptford, North Huish and Avonwick within the following boundaries:- California Cross - Venn Cross - Hazard Cross - East Moore (including Avonwick village).
7 All exhibits must be delivered to the Parish Hall between 8.00 am and 9.45 am and must be collected between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm. No exhibit must be moved after being placed in position. Exhibit cards should be securely attached to exhibit. All competitors MUST leave the hall by 10.00 am. This rule will be strictly enforced.
8 Exhibitors must provide their own vases, dishes, trays etc., of which all reasonable care will be taken, but the Committee will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the exhibitor's property.
9 All classes where the size of exhibit or paper is stated, this must be adhered to. Entries not within the size will be disqualified.
10 ALL ENTRY FORMS to be made to Mrs S Husband, Chez Nous, Diptford with entry fees before 9.00 pm on Thursday 19 July 2007 or to any committee member before 7.00 pm. You may also e-mail Mrs Day (phyllisdaygo@aol.com) with your entry before 6.00 pm on Thursday 19 July.
11 Exhibitors are not entitled to free entry to the show.
12 The decision of the Judge will be final. Any protest under rules 1 and 2 must be made in writing accompanied by 50 pence before 3.00 pm on the day of the show, and will be considered by the committee.
13 In the event of a tie in the most points, the winners will hold the cup for an equal period. Such a shared win will not count as an outright win towards final possession of the cup.
14 Cups to be returned to any member of the committee a fortnight before the show.
15 Cups and medals to be presented at the exhibition at 4.30 pm.
MONEY PRIZES CAN BE COLLECTED from the treasurer
on production of prize cards after 4.45 pm. All prize monies not collected on the day will be donated to show funds.
16 The holder of a cup is responsible for its safe keeping.
