There were two members of the public present.

Mr Collings who explained to the council some of the details on the wind turbine in 4a - that the height was less that the length of the parish hall, it would be painted to tone in with the environment and was for renewable energy. The noise if you stood at the bottom was between a whisper and talking, it would not be visible from many dwellings.

The other parishioner present said she had originally thought the wind turbine a good idea but now feels nervous as one is not sure of the effect it would have. She had not come to object.

Cllr Palmer sent an apology. Cllr Leflaive and Cllr Walton were absent.

1. 2680 17/1363/05/F PT Collings Etheridge Farm domestic wind turbine. The council agreed that they had no objection but they expressed concern over the noise and visual impact on other parishioners. One councillor asked for their objection to be noted.
2. 2681 17/1227/05/F R Ellis & S Marshall White Gates extension to existing dormer. The council supported this application.
3. 2682/2693 17/1199/05RM BT Moore agricultural dwelling. The council supported and this has been approved by South Hams District Council planning department.
4. 2683 17/1388/05/F S Farrow-Jones & A Cumming Larcombe Corner extension to garage with temporary part business use. The council agreed they had no objection to the garage but are strongly against any intended business use.
5. 2684 17/1318/05/F Mr & Mrs McLeod erection of disabled ground floor wc extension. The council strongly support this.
6. Primrose Place - the council asked the clerk to write to SHDC planning to voice their annoyance that no enforcement order has been issued.
7. 2694 17/1184/05F SHDC has granted Mr Andrewartha planning permission on a conservatory.
8. 2701 DCC has granted permission for the covered play area at Diptford Parochial Primary School.
9. Little Curtisknowle, parishioners have reported that someone is living in a barn in this area. The clerk was instructed by the council to write and pass the information on to SHDC planning department with a request for action.

Cllr Franklin told the council that Thomson Directories had been thrown into hedges at intervals along the road TQ9 7NU and 7NJ (Bickham Bridge area). The council agreed that the clerk should write and protest to Thompson Directories about this and also that their directories are not recyclable.

Cllr Hill told the council that £500 had been received from SW Acre Network to help with the plan expenses, any of this not needed will be returned in due course. A draft copy of the plan was presented for discussion.

The council approved the plan for a small wall and new planting at an estimated cost of £380 . They would like to thank Ham Sampford and Dave Perkins for coming up with the scheme and volunteering to undertake the construction.
