Diptford Parish Council
held at the Parish Hall, Diptford on Monday 15th August 2005 at 7:30pm

There were two members of the public present.
Mr Collings who explained to the council some of the details on the wind turbine in 4a - that the height was less that the length of the parish hall, it would be painted to tone in with the environment and was for renewable energy. The noise if you stood at the bottom was between a whisper and talking, it would not be visible from many dwellings.
The other parishioner present said she had originally thought the wind turbine a good idea but now feels nervous as one is not sure of the effect it would have. She had not come to object.

3. Minutes of the previous meeting Monday 4th July
The minutes were approved by the council and signed.
4. Planning matters
5. Highways and Paths
Cllr Franklin told the council that Thomson Directories had been thrown into hedges at intervals along the road TQ9 7NU and 7NJ (Bickham Bridge area). The council agreed that the clerk should write and protest to Thompson Directories about this and also that their directories are not recyclable.
6. Parish Plan
Cllr Hill told the council that £500 had been received from SW Acre Network to help with the plan expenses, any of this not needed will be returned in due course. A draft copy of the plan was presented for discussion.
7. Diptford Square
The council approved the plan for a small wall and new planting at an estimated cost of £380 . They would like to thank Ham Sampford and Dave Perkins for coming up with the scheme and volunteering to undertake the construction.
8. Correspondence and Points of Information
2685 There will be no refuse collection Bank Holiday Monday 29 August, collections will be 1 day late that week.
