1. Apologies were received from Cllr Haddy, District Cllr Steer and County Cllr Date.
2. Declaration of Interest and update of Members’ Interests - none
3. Minutes of the previous meeting Monday 2 April were passed and signed.
4. Planning Matters
1. 3009/3009a 17/0744/07/F Redundant Barn Lower Bearscombe, Halwell - resubmission of 17/1848/06/F for conversion of barn to dwelling and 17/0745/07/F application Listed Building consent for conversion of barn to dwelling. This application was supported by the council.
2. 3008 17/0762/07/O Scrap yard at Larcombe Lane SX748 581 outline application for demolition of workshop and office building and erection of bungalow. The council had no objection.
3. 3007 17/0764/07/F Combe Barton Curtisknowle resubmission of 17/2486/06/F for construction of single storey, timber framed building. The council did not object to this application.
4. 3005/06 17/0792/07/F Bradridge House Diptford erection of 2 dry storage units and 17/0791/07/LB application Listed Building consent for 2 dry storage units. The council had no objection.
5. 17/0849/07/F The Old Smithy, Curtisknowle erection of shower room extension. There was no objection by the council.
6. 3004 The Copse Curtisknowle - Tree Preservation order - grant of conditional consent was noted.
7. 3003 Boreston Foot Cottage, Halwell planning permission granted for extensions to rear & side of property and erection of replacement garage, on the condition that it is not used for business was noted.
8. The council was reminded that the public meeting regarding the barn ‘The Workshop’ Little Curtisknowle is on 19 June at 10am at Follaton House
5. District Councillor’s Report - Cllr Steer - none
6. County Councillor’s Report - Cllr Date - none.
7. Local Elections
• Diptford Parish Council - there were only 6 nominations so there will be no election and two further councillors are needed.
• District Council there were 2 nominations so an election is to be held.
8. Group Energy
• Forms to join the Oil Consortium for cheaper oil are available on the Diptford Website (www.diptford.org.uk) or from Cllr Hill. It has been agreed that the ‘top up’ system is the easiest to operate and causes the least work. Watsons have agreed to waive the extra cost of this system.
9. Correspondence and Points of Information
1. 2996 Lord Mayor of Exeter’s letter regarding the unitary aspirations of Exeter was read.
2. 2993 DAPC nomination of a councillor to stand for election to the DAPC County Committee for 2007 - 2011. Cllr Hill kindly agreed to stand again and all voted in favour.
3. Road closures were noted, the clerk was instructed to put these on the noticeboard.
10. Additional Items as per the Chairman
• It was reviewed how the minutes were passed and published. It was agreed that the dates of the next 2 meetings should be published at the end of these.
• Cllr Hill agreed to stand for the Parish Hall Committee on behalf of the council.

1. Report was received by the council.
